the user is the highest priority in this form of design
when a system is implemented, its target mutates instantly to accomodate it, therefore a system always warrants its own improvement
the user is the elusive orienter across all changes made to a system
the user fundementally resists systemization, they must choose their own constraints
it is natural for systems to be designed to accomodate the user, but once implemented, the system forces the user to accomodate it
this is why systems handling requires continous feedback and improvement, and why there is no universally optimal implementation
what does exist, to motivate the ambition of design, are the constraints which are uniquely relevant to the user and the systems they exist within
the interplay of constraints and accessibility therein, reveal the user and the system's relationship
user oriented design is not about user friendliness for its own sake, rather it is about revealing and engaging with the constraints and interplay of the user and the problem space
user oriented design also demands an awareness of unintended impacts implementations of interfaces have on the user
in order to do this, we must prioritize the user and ask who the user really is, and who they aim to become with design
